Her specialization is Immigration, Entrepreneurship, Rural climate change, capacity building, community development, grant/ proposal writing, and monitoring and evaluation. She has more than 16 years of experience working in Non-Profit organizations related to relief and rehabilitation, community economic development, food for work, youth development, education, youth development, gender, and climate-related initiatives.
Shirlyn firmly believes that communities are the owners of the problems, and they know the solution to their problems. Empowering communities as co-creators of solutions ensures that development initiatives are sustainable and community-owned.
